Fukumidori Wakoucha

This tea has been slowly withered and moderately attacked by planthoppers resulting in aromas of ripe fruit and honey. Fukumidori is a cultivar known for its rich umami in green tea; when made into black tea with leafhopper damage, it produces deeper, more robust fruity notes. It is produced by an award-winning producer based in Saitama, Japan.

Brewing Recommendations:

• 5g tea.

• 300g water (195F).

• Steep for 1 minute.
